This month we were joined by Lorna Goldie, National Aquatic Competency Manager (School Swimming), and Dave Rayner, Aquatic Competency Lead for London and the East of England.
Lorna presented key findings from research conducted by Swim England in partnership with Birmingham Newman University, exploring pupil activity levels during school swimming lessons and practical strategies to increase engagement and time spent active in the water.
Dave delivered a session focused on incorporating elements of competitive swimming into mainstream lessons, providing practical ideas to enhance swimmer development and add variety to delivery.
