Learner must start the movement from a flat floating position on the front with the face in the water. Learners can make use of floatation equipment but are not permitted to use a Level 1 Swimming Assistant or wall to achieve this outcome. Finishing position is for the learner to be in an upright position (floating or standing depending on the depth of the water).

wall, toes under water surface. Push in a controlled manner into a stretched position with arms above head or by the side. Ears and back of head to remain in the water throughout. -
